The Blue Mountains is an easy day-trip from Sydney, accessible by train, bus, or car. In a day you will have time to see the Three Sisters and Scenic World, however to really enjoy your visit and all the many varied things that there are to see and do in the Blue Mountains try and stay for at least a couple of nights.  The region offers magnificent scenery, unique plantlife, and vast wildlife.  The Blue Mountains were given its name because of the blue haze it exudes from the oil of the eucalyptus trees.  You can explore the area by bushwalking, horse riding, abseiling, rock climbing, and canoeing, or driving.
