There is an accessible elevated boardwalk through the rainforest, eco-displays and café. The rainforest includes tall palms, giant strangler figs and hanging vines. A visit to Sea Acres is an inspiring experience. Sea Acres is 4 km south of Town Beach, Port Macquarie, along Pacific Drive, on the mid north coast of NSW, 4+ hours drive north of Sydney. The Rainforest Centre is open every day from 9 am to 4.30 pm. Allow an hour for the boardwalk. There is a small entry fee to the boardwalk. The Centre offers an education program for school groups (K-12) and special group tours. Volunteer Guides are available, or enjoy the walk at your own pace. Please wear flat walking shoes – the boardwalk may be slippery when wet. Sea Acres also offers a changing program of environmental art exhibitions, bush tucker tours with a Birpai Aboriginal elder and special events. Please contact the centre for details. |
