We have created a luxurious forest retreat where a small group of guests can enjoy the tranquility and perfection of the environment Hookes Creek Forest Retreat offers a blend of the finest of local produce and first class service. The Retreat prides itself on its friendly staff offering warm country hospitality and a range of activities to cover the highly energetic or the more restful person. 

Hookes Creek offers 10 private western red cedar cottages including a fully self contained Homestead, catering for the single person through to the group family gathering. All cottages have an open fire for the cooler months and a king size spa bath to soak those tired muscles after a horse ride or long bushwalk.

For those that need to stay in touch each cottage has a television, DVD, CD player and telephone, or just step out onto your private balcony for a more relaxed view of the world. The beauty and serenity of the high country is always close at hand at Hookes Creek. 

The fully licensed Bower Restaurant is the centre of the Retreat where people meet for a drink at the bar and to shoot some pool. Dining in the restaurant is an informal but delicious affair, Our chefs whip up fresh country produce into gastronomic delights for Retreat Guests or the public to enjoy. Many of our return guests come back just for the food! You can do it all, in absolutely superb surroundings.

Spend a few quiet hours lounging by the swimming pool, or enjoy a game of tennis. Sample traditional bush style billy tea and damper on our four wheel drive tour, or find your own quiet picnic spot. Enjoy our 30 km of bushwalking trails or go bird watching.  Breathe the air, listen to the birds and get to know yourself all over again.
