Holiday Coast Bootscooters classes will have you line dancing your way up and around the Mid North Coast of New South Wales with classes in South West Rocks, Kundabung, Nambucca Heads, Urunga, Sawtell and Coffs Harbour. Line Dancers are happy people who enjoy music and just want to dance. We dance to all rhythms - cha cha, waltz, samba, two step and modern country.
Line Dancing has changed with modern music and more difficult steps are being introduced into the line dance routines. Holiday Coast Bootscooters have developed their classes into varying levels to enable dancers to "blend in" when they are giving line dancing a try for the first time. So come along and join in on the fun
Classes range from “Easy Fun" to Advanced and the whole family can join in from the 7 year old to the grandparents.
I have classes that have been going since 1994 and many friendships have been formed. People who would never have met otherwise now have something in common with each other. Some have a fresh new lease of life - they dress in country style clothes, buy a pair of boots, next a belt then a fancy buckle, next the hat and they feel good within themselves. They join us in demonstrations at community activities, have fun and their lives become much brighter.
Line Dancing need not be expensive. You can start with cool comfortable clothing and a normal pair of shoes with flat heels (preferably with rubber on the heels). Many of our dancers shop at the opportunity shops and find treasures for $1 or $2 that you can’t buy at the retail stores.
If you are thinking if giving line dancing a try I would like to give you a few helpful tips. You don't need to buy expensive uniforms to dance.
- Wear cool comfortable clothing. (long sleeves are too hot).
- Shorts are good for our hot climate or a skirt is fine but not too long.
- Your shoes should be "flatties" - preferably with rubber on the heels to stop you slipping. Ten pin bowling shoes are good or nurses' shoes if you have them
