HOW TO GET MARRIED ON LORD HOWE ISLAND Congratulations you're getting married.
Getting married on this island by me couldn't be simpler or less frenetic. With the assistance I give you there will be no headaches and no trying to please those other than yourselves. Its so easy and you'll have a nice financial saving when compared to traditional weddings. You'll have a unique, unforgettable wedding and honeymoon on a stunningly beautiful World Heritage island. Couples come to be married here from all parts of the world, most have eloped. A great way to start life together.
(1) Your first step is to choose a wedding date and lock it in with me. You then arrange your flights, accommodation and length of stay to suit your budget. Its far easier to book this as a package with your travel agent. If your agent has little knowledge of the island they or you can contact a Lord Howe specialist who can do all bookingd within the day. I can give you a contact number. In the mean time I will send you information on what you have to do legally, ceremony suggestions and a Notice of Intent to Marry form which you fill in and fax to me ASAP or at least a month and a day before your wedding to be legal.
(2) Your next step is to advise me of your arrival on the island, I'll have you contacted for a visit to the weather station then a tour of the island to select a lovely ceremonial ceremony site. All you have to do is say yes or no, where and when, finalise the ceremonial words, I'll do the rest to give you a relaxed and carefree wedding.
(3) On the day we transport you to the venue where I will be waiting with the site prepared for you. Before you know it you've had the ceremony, rings on your fingers, signed the register and having a celebratoty drink.
Congratulations you are now married, relaxed and honeymooning.
I have been looking after couples since 1992 giving relaxed & fun weddings. I took my seachange to Lord Howe in 1982, I'm originally from Sydney. I only act as a celebrant now but worked in Sydney London & Lord Howe. Some of my earlier working life was as a microbiologist, ships captain, beautician, radio announcer and an Avon lady.
Lord Howe is a stunningly beautiful island, 2 hours flight from Sydney, Brisbane or Port Macquarie, 11 km long by about 2+ km wide, 2 mountains which are often cloud capped, a 6 km long coral fringed lagoon, millions of palm trees, a beach for every day in the week, 25 kph speed limit, no highrise, mobile phones or ATMs and 300 + residents & with only 400 visitors maximum at any one time means no crowds but, has all the services available for a perfect and unforgettable wedding and honeymoon. I can advise on accommodation, activities & services available.
I'm easier to contact evenings by phone or fax, I don't use email as it is unreliable due to our satellite connection. |
